Myocardial Infarction
Myocardial Infarction commonly knows as Heart Attack due to an interruption in the supply of blood to the Heart. Whenever there is a blockage in the coronary artery, one of the important blood vessels of the heart, it leads to Heart Attack. The most common symptom of Heart Attack is the occurrence of sudden pain in the chest. It also causes a problem in breathing, nausea, a sudden sweating. Heart Attack leads to death in most of its cases. It is often referred as a killer disease which leads to death. Smoking, high cholesterol intake, obesity are the various factors which leads to Heart Attack. Hypertension, high blood pressure also contribute to this disease. When there is a block in the blood vessels of the heart, it leads to an inadequate supply of blood to the heart, thus causing Heart attack. Proper diagnosis and treatment in early stages can minimize the effects of this disease. But if a proper treatment is not given this disease becomes chronic and leads to death. In many cases a surgery is required for this disease. A proper diet is advised for the patients and the intake of high fat content food must be avoided. Proper physical exercises, intake of low fat and calorie content foods are some ways to prevent this disease.
